  • Title: Value Co-Creation in Sport Management – A New Logic in a Changing Society

  • Description: The course consists of six modules. First, you get a comprehensive understanding of the logic of sport products and its limitations, which point to the importance of a new way of thinking in sport management. Consequently, the logic of value co-creation is explained by referring to research results about ticketing, branding, and sponsoring. During the course you develop an understanding for the new logic of value co-creation step by step with practical applications and innovative approaches and case studies. You also learn about managerial implications from interviews with experts in this field. Finally, an outlook of future challenges in sport management is given by using the example of sustainability and circular economy in sport. Besides input phases in forms of texts, videos and graphics, you have the possibility to test your knowledge with interactive quizzes and engage in forum discussions with fellow course participants. The course is self-paced, which means that you decide how fast you complete it, and with three optional short exams you have the possibility to receive an official edX certificate for this course.
